A few days ago I once again purchased a lovely sample of the Nikon Nikkor 180mm F/2.8 ED AIS lens. I stupidly let go of my last one and immediately regretted it but was fortunate to find a mint example shortly after. A friend of mine and eminent Norwegian photographer, Bjorn Rorslett, said of this legendary manual focus lens:
“This fast medium telephoto lens has, thanks to its ED element and modern optical formula, a superb optical quality. Images are rendered with high sharpness, contrast and vivid colour saturation. Even wide open quality images are produced, and stopped down to f/5.6 it’s hardly possible to better the image quality.”
Here are some sample images of the lovely “Pickles”, a rabbit that recently came to us and fortunately bonded well with our female rabbit that had sadly lost its soul mate a few weeks previously.
