Testing The Asahi Takumar Pentax 85mm f/1.9

A quick forray out to the beach today to give the Asahi Takumar Pentax 85mm f/1.9 a whirl on the Nikon Z6. I have to say, it’s a wonderful lens to use. I kept it predominantly at f\1.9-f\4, which wasn’t always ideal on such a gloriously sunny day as today some of the results were very pleasing. You can feel it’s a vintage lens and you can see it in the results, especially if, like me, you’re used to shooting with blisteringly sharp macro and microscope lenses. But that’s the point.. vintage photography was not “blisteringly sharp” but it was often “blisteringly good”!
