Here are two shots from this morning, testing a new TTArtisans 11mm f/2.8 fisheye lens. We had a lot of fog this morning which created some beautiful scenes at around 7am.

Testing the Asahi Pentax Takumar 85mm f/1.9. Handheld, ISO 100, 1/4000.
Again with the Nikon Z6, here I’m testing the classic Nikon 180mm ED AIS. It’s tack sharp so makes taking a flattering portrait challenging but fortunately my lovely wife was (not so) happy to model for me. Below one colour and one monochrome rendition. Notice how vintage lenses produce very different results from our modern […]
NIKON Z6 + ASAHI PENTAX TAKUMAR 85MM F/1.9
This certainly is an alluring lens. It makes me want to shoot with it, not least because I find myself using almost zero post processing on the resulting images. On these two I used a light HDR and 0.04 sharpening in Topaz InFocus. And because I can go sooo wide I’m not hunting for width […]

This little Russian beauty just arrived so I thought I’d test it on this little English beauty! (my wife) 🙂 I love them both! The Jupiter 3 was set at f/1.5 in our dimly lit kitchen with light streaming from the conservatory to the left. ISO 100 and handheld at 1/80.

I’ve spent a fair bit of time cleaning and […]
I purchsased this little gem of a lens a couple days ago and it duly arrived this morning. Via a K&F Concept Leica-M to Nikon Z adapter it was duly mounted on the Nikon Z6 today for a short trip to the beach to meet some friends. My firend’s son, young Max, was a great […]
